Winters Betrail Poem by Kaylee Matson

Winters Betrail

Trees were dead
Roses were dry
Fingers of winter were still dragging by
You wern't there
When I needed you most
I just needed you to be close
By my side
Throughout the night
Stronger than ever
We were tight
You left me and I came to life
The trees lived
Roses came alive
You left me and my world shined bright
What I thought was the love of my life
Turned out to be another lie
Down the road I go again
Into the dark, searching for a start
To find true love again, now that we're apart
