Winters Cry Poem by Rue Palmer

Winters Cry

In the hush of winter's quiet breath,
Soft as the snow that settles deep,
The world wraps in a gentle rest,
And nature sinks to peaceful sleep.

The trees stand still, their branches bare,
Silent sentinels in frost's embrace,
Their shadows long, yet light as air,
In the pale glow of winter's grace.

The winds that once howled loud and fierce
Now whisper softly through the pines,
As time itself seems to disperse
In the calm of winter's silent signs.

Beneath the sky, so clear and wide,
The earth is calm, the heart is light,
For in the stillness, we confide
In winter's tranquil, quiet night.
