Wise Dumb Poem by Andy Caldwell

Wise Dumb

Rating: 4.5

Lord give me wisdom
to make me wise to the world
help me to recognize
Your spirit in this world
please God don't make me pious
I could not stand the ridicule
when I failed with every rule
the future is unending
the past has no beginning
time and energy are a möbius strip
while matter clumps upon top
I know a bit of physics
but I do not know of your intent
we both know I fail as a Christian
and every other human does
so You sent Jesus to pay our way
Lord You made me wise
yet I am dumb
except it's You I realize
as the Creator of earth and skies
and everything before my eyes
