Wish We Never Grew Poem by arwa lokhandwala

Wish We Never Grew

growing up is a part of life
wish we could separate it with a knife

all seems same
but not yet the same

loved ones parted
to our careers as we darted

creating memories all the way
bonding closer day by day
with brighter hopes of ray

these ties will get us through
towards our old life as we drew

but pangs of hurt and pain
never leave us in vain

those thoughts tear us apart
engraving deep inside our heart

wish wed never grew
only then our sorrows would be few

You create pictures of life's changes and the feelings we have of wanting things to remain the same. I enjoyed your expression.
