Wishes Great And Wishes Small Poem by Offiong Felix

Wishes Great And Wishes Small

I have wished to live on by the sea
The castle of shells that you will see
Rising to the blue up high up high
Shall be my dwelling before I die
But then I must have married a prince
To cuddle and breed our kings and queens
The world you know will be great you'll see
In that my castle on by the sea.

I have wished to have some pigs to farm
The filth and dirt will cause me no harm
Nothing in this world will mean so great
Than see a sow suckle her piglet.
But then I may not afford a prom
For girls like me are thought to be dumb,
Stink, and are wretched and have no charm
But have to live with pigs in the farm.

Wishes great, wishes small, love is all
The heart is delightful, hope is tall
I would rather wish a wish so small
Than live my days with no wish at all.
