Wishing Star Poem by Maddy Jones

Wishing Star

Up in the sky,
A star so bright,
I shall make a wish,
On this cold night,

I wish upon thee,
To laugh and joke,
To live happily,
'Til I'm an old bloke,

How I long to live,
Such a long, dear life,
Free of all chaos,
And free from strife,

Oh Wishing Star,
How bright above me,
How big you are,
Such a sight to see,

But why are you burning?
And you've gotten so near,
A METEORITE! ! RUN! !
IT'S COMING HERE! !
