With A Silent Pause Poem by Colin Breck Boardman

With A Silent Pause

With a silent pause,
Balanced and precise,
Mark first the target,
To punch a small hole
Through this vast wall
Of white incessant noise.

Search the inner source,
And roll the fateful dice,
For each hopeful nugget,
Amongst the flightful shoal,
To find what shall enthral,
With a decisive choice.

Find in each chosen clause,
A morsel to entice,
Though pigs in the market
Know not your goal,
And heed the silent call
Of your reticent voice.
