With All My Heart Poem by Wyatt Converse

With All My Heart

I love the lord with all my heart
so I build my faith like Noah's Ark
I believe the lord like Abraham
so I'm well sustained by Gods right hand
I will shout to the lord like Jericho
as the walls I've built fall from my soul
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I'll watch my enemies flee at the blast of God's breath
wheather in the furnace or a pit of mire
to hear the lord's name praised is my main desire
so even though I've been fooled by a crafty serpent
I ask the lord and I'm forgiven even though I don't deserve it
'Your laws are written on my heart like a tablet of clay
as I repent in dust and ashes and I fast and pray'
