I remember the day you entered into my world,
I became the proud parent of a beautiful baby girl!
Your eyes were blue and your hair light brown,
In my life I thought you would always be around.
But life does not always work out as planned,
I missed your first words and the first time you were able to stand.
I think about the years that have passed us by,
Every day a place in my heart thinks of you and starts to cry.
Life is a road with many twists and turns as you will learn,
And every day you grow to hold you again my heart it truly yearns!
I think of all the things you will see and do as you go along,
To write these words to you I have waited far too long!
And even now you may not be able to comprehend,
With every beat of my heart you are loved,
and loved you will be until my life comes to it's end...
