Jennifer and I walk along the dirty path
She's carrying roses
While I have an arm below her back
' It's been a decade since the horror ' Jennifer says to me
I look deep into her eyes
As we stand on the steps to the accursed mansion
Tears begin to show in her eyes
As if she can't face it all alone
Fear, anger, and anxiety rush through her bones
As she stands next to me
We walk into the Clock Tower
Or as some would call it, Barrows Mansion
We trek through the many rooms
Jennifer holds my hand as we go along
The furniture and what was there a decade ago is still there
As Jennifer and I have found out
We reach the bedrooms to where Ann, Laura, and Lotte would have stayed
With a vase in each room
I fill it with water
And you put a rose in
Jennifer trembles as we make our way to her father's resting place
And suddenly tears slide down her face
But I offer my hand to her and lead her down
We reach Walter's place
And we each throw a rose near the wall where he laid
As we leave the mansion
Jennifer turns to me through tear stained eyes
She kisses me on the left cheek, then the left cheek, then for 2 straight minutes on the lips
We embrace
I brush the black strands of her hair out of her face
She weakly smiles to me and says ' Thank you for helping me '
I radiate ' You're welcome ' from my eyes to hers
With nothing else left
We begin our walk back
Her head leaning on my shoulder
My arm around her waist
And I certainly wish love and hope for you Jennifer Simpson
