The fragrance in the wind tells me today
In a giggle and a smile to blow me away
It is you in person I need this day
Strong and hardy, stiff and hot this may.
I ask the moon to lend me her light
To view your heart I treasure tonight
Beneath the sheets in an embrace tight
And burning sweat two in our might
I look into your eyes to see now
Thinking how distant and near am I still
Wondering where I did my seeds sow
The days we lasted as one at the mill
Lips touched a deeper meaning
Tender, a life inside singing
And I let it linger there longer
As it imbibed into me a prayer
I see a future written out there
Of togetherness, and no gold shining
But a smile I see with happiness carefree
An encouraging sign, of a victory coming
