With Nothing But Love Poem by Shirley Harrison

With Nothing But Love

I've given up writing my sad, sad song

truth is my darling I know you are gone

our life time together

was gone in a flash

now my heart bleeds

I wish you were back

If a lifetime is a moment

I'll take it with pride

If a lifetime is a moment

our future now died

I'll think of you always

on beach and on sand

where we watched

all the sunsets

on shore hand in hand

If a lifetime is a moment

I'll take it with pride

If a lifetime is a moment

our future now died

times that you told me

your secrets and fears

I'll hold them forever

protect them through years

If a lifetime is a moment

I'll take it with pride

If a lifetime is a moment

our future now died

I'll live on without you

my angel above

and

every time I think of you

It will be…

with nothing but love

with nothing but love.
