With You Poem by Olivia Capulet

With You

Can’t cry for fear of laughing
As I whisper out for you
There’s no one here to whisper back
My soul is torn in two
I hear your voice returning
It’s the spirit of my head
Can’t run for fear of thinking
Our love is gone; it’s dead

I cannot move from what we were
The person that I was
I smile for fear of crying
And I’m laughing just because
I’m too attached to who we were
To change the ghost of me
I bleed for fear of living
In a world where I can’t be
