Within Poem by Judith Vriesema

Within

Rating: 4.5

Within the logic of line,
an artist's brush creates sound through colour.
Cobalt blue and veridian green dance across a blank canvas within the motion of sea and sky.
The physicist stares at the life line in his hand;
art choosing life over death.
What is God?
Physics chooses the silence beyond mathematics.
In Van Gogh's madness, he sees the answer.
God is a crystal imprisoned within the heart of a rubick's cube;
one half of the equation.
Sound completes the other half within the complexity and beauty of a winter's snowflake.
Bach painted the sound of rain whilst it fell across a sea of infinity.
Mozart created a symphony within the heart of an icicle.
One chooses,
one always chooses life over death
whilst Bach smiles and plays chess with the clouds
