But we can still be friends

It's been too long since
We've been in each others embrace
Even longer since I've held your hand
Is our love gone? Without a trace?

You are perfect
In every single way
I knew we'd be close
Since I met you that day

Dealing with a boyfriend
Who didn't care
When he was absent
I was there

For you

To help you with it
