Without A Trace - Poem by C. K. Young

You and me
Are not destined to be
But we can still be friends
Cant we?

It's been too long since
We've been in each others embrace
Even longer since I've held your hand
Is our love gone? Without a trace?

You are perfect
In every single way
I knew we'd be close
Since I met you that day

Dealing with a boyfriend
Who didn't care
When he was absent
I was there

For you
And only you
To help you with it
To pull you through
But I never thought
That I'd be losing you...
