Without Guide, Translation Of The Poem Bhomiya Vina By Famous Gujarati Poet Umashankar Joshi

without Guide,
I wished to
wander in the mountains,
all the lanes & by lanes of the forest
See valleys and caverns
And wipe tears of the weeping stream

to count the Lines of swans
On the golden bank of a forlorn lake
to weave agonies of my heart
Around the nest of a cucko
swinging on a branch.

Standing alone under the solitary sky
Tried to catch echo of my heart
All my words scattered and diffused in sky
I faded away singly.

Want to wander into the hills all my life
to see the forest avenues Again and Again
Check the caverns
where even Guides get lost
And wish to wipe out tears of my bosom.
