Without The Head Poem by Okoemu Okoemu Okoemu

Without The Head

Without the head,
The body decay.
Without the head, the mind is dead,
And the soul becomes the spiritual,
Without the head,
No brain.
Without the head, the body is dead,
Without the head,
The hands and legs, are functionless.
Without the head, manhood and womanhood sleep for eternity,
Nigeria is without the head,
Past and present heads are dead,
Even the nearest future is a sicker,
No wonder, the body is decay,
Education has gone extinction,
Mobility is a hazard,
Good road is a story for the gods,
Electricity is like a troublesome child,
Sleep this minute, wakes up in the next,
Security is a gamble.
Who cares?
Dead heads?
Dead is dead!
The body is decay,
Immorality at it peak!
Even the stars who in a kind
Should help as the Holy one,
Becomes the destroyers themselves
Little Ivie messes around with old Okojie,
The doing of the stars...
As music is the voice any one hears,
Wiz-kid display nude models in a video, the censor praise and awarded him, children watch and become spoilt.
Seeing what father and mother use to see alone,
Because there is no head!
Jonathan is dead and weak,
So is Obasanjo, and Buhari, and Gowon, and Danjuma, and Oshiomole, and Ngozi Iweala and Emefiele....
All of them, dead and weak!
So, the body decay,
Crime and immorality,
The beauty of her, now in the open,
Her, values sold at cheap rate,
So is he!
There is no hope!
For how many writers are alive?
When there is no head,
The body decay!
