Without You Poem by Jonathan Bellmann

Without You

Look at me now.
I want to see you,
Touch you;
I long to hear your voice.
This deafening silence
Has taken you from me.
I speak alone,
I hear my voice;
Answer me.

My days are spent with memories
That mock me;
They prick my soul with painful thorns,
With sores that never shut.
I reach for you,
Yet there is nothing.

No words of comfort will bring you back,
No loud sound,
No solemn prayers,
No nothing.

Oh God, take me from this place
I yearn to touch her face.
