Without You Poem by Laura Rodriguez

Without You

I'm going away for three days.
I won't hug you,
I won't kiss you,
I won't say anything,
I will just leave.
Don't follow me,
I must leave.
Let me go,
close your eyes.
I left.

One day without you:
I miss you,
I miss your voice,
your touch.
Three days will pass soon,
I told myself,
don't worry.

Two days without you:
I can't breathe,
I can't eat,
I can't sleep.
One more day to go,
I don't think I can make it,
I need you here with me.

Three days without you:
I run,
run towards our home.
I can't be without you.
I need you to breathe,
to live.
I open our door,
I see you kissing another woman.
I cried softly,
and left.
You couldn't wait for me,
not for three days.
You moved on,
so quickly.
My heart rests in pieces.
