Won'T Die - Poem by Jonathan McWilliams

Guts, blood, and my crushed skull
My liver dangles, the thuds have stopped
I’m still alive and I won’t die
But with this body I won’t get by
Cuts, Mud, this red gush hole
A River mangled, the bloods been cropped
I’m still alive and in this text
But without this body in the next
