Won'T You Let Me Poem by Steven Elsner

Won'T You Let Me

Let me enjoy these midnight depressions,
It's a great way to feel.
Let me cry to myself,
It's a great way to express.
Let me self loathe,
I've done it for years.
Let me plan my demise,
I've tried countless times.
Let me cuddle to nothing,
It's all I can do.
Let me plaster on fake smiles in the morn,
It's become my most useful talent.
Let me thank the night for reminding me I'm alone,
It's better this way.
Let me be unwilling to change,
I've been stuck here.
Let me never tell anyone,
It's what I've done forever.
