Wonder Poem by Matt Johnson

Wonder

I still think plastic colors should have taste
I still look at butterflies amazed
I still catch snowflakes on my tongue
The snow angel is a lot bigger
I still expect people to be nice

I still want more ice cream
I still feel better around my mom
I still know that everything will be OK
I might not always understand
That's OK too

I still trust in God
I still trust my parents
I still have a lot of love
Sometimes I get hurt and cry
Then feel better
