Wonders Along Travels Strange Poem by Roger Snow

Wonders Along Travels Strange

~~~~ Wonders, along the Travels Strange ~~~~
First thing I saw
before I touched that sky
Eagles soaring
across my eyes
every night a dream
dream of you
Your blessed sighs
I'm rollin easy
Some Think a Man
has to settle down
I believe
ain't no need to stick
to a single slice of ground
I'm rollin easy
Been a while since you've
seen my face
Lot of miles
Lot of smiles
In this One horse race
Inspiration,
Open Road for me
Long white lines
Riding free
North bound
or Sea to Sea
I'm rollin easy
Last thing I recall
Before I hit that Road
Your words one and all
Look in your eyes
with all they've told
Missed you badly
I can't deny
Left you sadly
Even the Eagles cried
I'm Rollin easy
Thinkin' Bout
Those moments along the stream
we're walkin
strollin' in a dream
Lo'
I'm rollin easy, , , Easy
I'm runnin' Home now
Back to my place of Birth
Runnin' Home now
Done ran this whole Earth
I'm rollin easy, , ,
(Second Verse)
Take these Sighs of mine
Paint them Colors you can hold
Find in these eyes, blues painted
in textures of Wisdom Old
Slide your breath across my cheek
whisper to me,
Tell me all those secrets
The depth of your Soul Keeps
We're rollin' Easy
Touch this Life of mine
run your fingers
up and down my spine
Make me sing to you,
Cause you to dance
until you fall
This Ring I give to you
Can you take the chance
To you I gift my all
We're Rollin' Easy
Lady Painting my dreams
with Scents of Loving you
Feeling,
as though all my life
was always filled with these things
born of wanting you
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wonders along Travels Strange
The song relates at first, the departure of a Man, who leaves behind his Loved one,
to seek out upon the Road, some sense to his life, and some way to understand it.
It moves on into his moment of realization, The Journey has filled it's purpose
and it's time to return home.
Next is the reconnect with the Love of his life, a far more mature in spirit Man,
he bids for them to fall back into each other, into the resurrection of their love, ,
the fire they once created that caused their melding.
I'm rolling easy, becomes we're rolling easy, into, Loves rolling Easy.
Ken Kesey wrote: " it's never too late to have a Happy Childhood "
My thought with this song,
The Man took to the Road, experienced in full, his belated Happy Childhood.
He knew internally, his inner child was stunted and required growth through his need
to experience a Childhood he was forced to miss as a child.
Instinctively, He wasn't mature enough in Spirit, to handle the Quality of Love present
between them, ,
He knew his Soul needed to Grow.
He did not Run from her, He ran to where he could discover his required development.
Once Forged, He took home to her, the Man She and their Love deserved.
It's a Personal Life Story, that I haven't as yet finished
