Won't Affect Me
Cuts to education won't affect me
As we all went to private school you see
We'll take more money so they can't buy books
Trying to save cash, Head Teachers become cooks
Free school meals, we shall no longer pay
For children to have one hot meal a day
Instead we will fund schools for the elite
Until working class becomes obsolete
But my dear, police cuts won't affect me
As I'm important and wealthy you see
Every single day they'll stand outside my gate
At least four policemen will be there and wait
In case someone decides they want to hurt me
They'll stand there with guns for everyone to see
Whilst I am tucked up safe and sound in my bed
Streets are crawling with people full of dread
Yes the crime rates have risen, is that my fault?
Murder, terrorism, sexual assault
Do you think these things would suddenly stop
If I didn't give these policemen the chop?
Don't be silly, it wouldn't change at all
It's just the lower class having a brawl
As long as the rich are kept safe from harm
A few more stabbings shouldn't cause such alarm
Of course, refugees don't affect me
In a country like this I don't have to flee
My street hasn't been bombed by planes up high
I haven't had to watch my close ones die
What's all the bother, what's all of the fuss?
It's not as bad as newspapers discuss
They can't come here, we just haven't the room
But never fear, it's not all doom and gloom
I'll let in the countries that come and spends
Lots of money building houses for my friends
Only the best for those with good names
I can assure their homes won't go up in flames
Cuts to the NHS won't affect me
As I invest in private healthcare you see
I don't wait for weeks to get a date
To see doctors with too much on their plate
I don't have to stress, I will get a bed
No waiting in corridors filled with dread
I won't raise wages of hospital staff
Unsociable hours, don't make me laugh
Instead I'Il sell the NHS to my friends
Hopefully this is where free healthcare ends
Because to be healthy you have to pay
For the right to live another day
Good luck to you all at making it through
The current government, just for the few
