Wooden Path - Poem by clay scott
my life has been drawn out on this wooden path
the choices i've made show my past to walk
miles in the dark searching for light
my heart is heavy no end in sight i fall
to my knees to repent one last time i see
no light through the trees in my soul
my demons haunt me to walk forever down
these roads no change in seasons no one
knows for every love a steeper climb
to fall again time after time i see
what happens when i slow my pace time
goes slower i forget your face to live
on this road is what i have chose a wooden
path where nothing grows
