Word Play Poem by derrick foster

Word Play

on moment spent gathering words
dropping them onto paper
in random patterns
as they form together
to describe, covey
and paint pictures
about a day, a scene
a Polaroid of oral prose
bleeding an idea
blended by sight, thought
it sounds good
but looks better when read aloud
whether understood,
or lost on hearing ears
seeing eyes
lay bear
a single moment
when words gather
randomly
spread on paper
playing thoughtfully.
