World Too Short Poem by Katheryn Foley

World Too Short

At times it seems I'm lost in a dream,

The feelings build like a wall complicating this call,

You fall to your knees a tear finally falls from your face.

This explosion cannot be erased, so out of place,

You will escape this world of foundations.

Aggravated this voice echoing in your ear,

The screaming voice disappears into nothing.

You take a step and take a breath before diving into a sea of unknown.

Fears start to arrive and scared to find what lies beneath.

But your curiosity is unbearable, overwhelmed by your dreams crashing,

You slip and fall across the sky into another world.

These creatures around you stop and stare,

At this beautiful girl who just had to end her world of hurt and sadness.
