Worldly Possesion Poem by Elvis Lantan

Worldly Possesion

Compare the mountain of my love to Everest
Seemingly, a lessened mountain it would be
It does not touch the heavens like I

And my kindling passion for you
Alters volcanoes into ash pits
All within my chest

The sea-the alternative sky
Where all my love is drowned
Caresses the isles of your body

And the green blanket of the land
Which tickles your bare feet
Makes me every fiber of grass

Like the trees, my hands elevate to the sky
And praise the good Lord
For the breeze you breathe

And the lamp of love for you
Is mere in the light of suns
But when close to you I shine bright

The heavens
They abyss
Both hold my love for you

My love’s unfit
Plagues sweet evil
Sustains the good of man

It lives in totality.

Beautiful depiction of love, Elvis - I particularly lik the concept of the 'alternative sky', Thanks Steve
