Worlds Around Poem by Mark Hopwood

Worlds Around

So you found yourself inside a room
Surrounded by a dream
You never looked behind the door
Now you don't know what you mean.

It's true that you only live once
And how long that lasts is up to you
The more weight you carry the slower you move
So leave the past behind and make it all new
Thats what you should do.

Because I've got a feeling deep inside me
Shining out, it's there to remind me
Of all the things I'm meant to do
And all the things that I must be
All the places I need to go
All this world is around to see.

when you find yourself facing the sun
Bask in its warmth and don't turn away
Open your soul and let it inside
With any luck it might just stay.

So take your chances when they show
Get up off the floor and smile
Open your mind, you know you know
It's ours to own, every stretching mile
The worlds around for a while.
