Worrying Nothing Poem by Sahra Hussein

Worrying Nothing

I am right here doing what I do
Worrying about nothing, in fact working harder
And I don't want you to worry either but
I need you to show me that you care
because I grew my world with patience and
There is no reason to feel failure

Let's put it like this, my hero Albert Einstein
Didn't get acceptance for his ideas at first
So colleges don't have to tell me I am not their choice
Because I will always use my own voice
To stand on my own feet

I know you didn't understand but I need you
To stay by my side because I want to be
The one who makes you proud
no matter what they say,
At least I can be brave

I know you think I am not realistic
And I should be better than this
But what can I say, because
I know myself better than you
And I don't want to be
What you want me to be because
I have got my own dreams and courage

I know you are disappointed
when they say I am not their choice
But I want you to know
It doesn't matter to me what they say
but what matters to me is what you say
