Worthwhile Poem by Jim Milks

Worthwhile

As time goes by
and senescence encroaches
and the essence of
adolescence slips away.

To take from her,
the last breath
Slowly she succumbs
to him, and to death
he is not cruel or evil or vile
every life is precious to him
they are all worthwhile
