Wrong Love Poem by Okello Baloyi

Wrong Love

The sea has a lot of nice stones, and I can collect as many as they can be but the one that stole my heart is outside the sea although I'm sinking, drowning to the one under water, giving the wrong person my love.

My emotions are tangled towards materialist person, at night my mind doesn't rest trying to chew over where I'll get money to impress such lady, while the one stolen my heart only wants my affection!

It may be the burden I always wanted but I wish I could have my love back! it ain't easy, even alcohol could vanish in my blood, it's a living hell I created for myself, what have I done?

In every temptation follows a mousetrap after that, I wonder if someone will suffer for my selfishness, unable to change cause I grow up in such society and it was part of what I was taught, follow your heart nor dream as they speak!
