Xenogenesis Poem by B. Sven Telander

Xenogenesis

Under a long shawl of shriveled skin
with cardboard dogs and plastic cats,
sad beyond compare,
in a rubber dungeon
and a venom kennel,
full of dog turds and dead
fish and abnormal embryos
clawing for the ugly principle
of the white collar guillotine
whistling madmen of the prolonged twilight,
mandatory compactors step up
to the blue collar noose
opinions ring hollow shallow chimes
lucid screaming from the chained gang
a fine whine up depravities pinnacle
brutal amplifiers, spiders in their eyes,
the store that sells
falsehood and essence of disaster
offers vaccines for thoughtcrime
at only twice the price
the sticky membrane liturgy begs for
liquid insistence on a turgid insurgency
stars and fires and deepest of lakes
suffer no children
suffer no children
construct a cavalcade
of barricades on the innocence fortress,
a moat where no unworthiness may pass
counting the black abacus
in a church with no windows
amidst the flaggellators
at the amputation camp
the handless couple,
with fingerless poise
interlock elbows of forearm stumps
while shouldering a baby with no feet
as the older children crawl behind
time to end the end of time
dark engineer
in the stink of night
eating hamburgers
with god.
