The Year of The Dog
will hail,
a new breed of pup,
defiant and strong,
no longer caged
or trampled on.
Past is the Rooster
strutting with false pride
his subservient flock
in fear they were tied.
Stay loyal to the values
of Freedom and Prayer
for the underdog Rising
this is the Year.
