Yes, I'm A Villain Poem by Behesti Syeda

Yes, I'm A Villain

Yes, I'm a villain, misjudged by the people I once called my own.
Yes, I'm a villain; hatred is what they give me, hatred is what I hold.

I was tormented, abused and outcasted by the people...

Still...
They are the god; exalted and right.
I am the devil; lowly and wrong.

I was crushed by the darkness,
a victim all along.
So I fight though it,
taming it all;
I embraced the darkness;
Now darkness is the only thing left for me to hold.

I wanted to ask, 'What was my fault? '
Yes, I'm a villain; don't have the right to know.

I wanted to ask, 'What is my role? '
Yes, I'm a villain; trapped in this abyss of woe.

I want to ask,
'What does fate hold...? '
