Yesterdays News Poem by Lesten WhitePigeon

Yesterdays News

Twisted medal of razors
Garments washed in blood
All he dwells in your last kiss and hug
This time if you told him to stay he would
He would go back in time if he could
I cant handle this world alone
I cant handle this world alone
He says with your picture in his hand
He drinks a pot of coffee
Reads yesterdays news
Grabs a rag to clean his shoes
Silence echo’s his house as well as his heart
He rushes out side before the tears start
Crying time winter rain the softness of you name
Yesterday is gone but its real today
Yesterday is gone but its real…… today
He puts a cigarette in his lips
Holds the lighter in his hands
Flicks the lighter and walks back in like a man
He sits at the table and slides an ashtray close
Grabs a pen and writes about her ghost
He scribbled to himself
It will be alright
It will be alright
Signed his name
P.S. yeah right…
