You Poem by Abigail Leigh Jowett

You

Criticisms we listen to
Complements we ignore
We feel ashamed of who we are
And makes us feel insecure

Your fat, your ugly, your dumb
Are things that are said
Hurtful and untrue
But makes us wish we were dead

Everyone is beautiful
We should all understand
Not everyone is perfect
But we are all unique and grand

So don't listen to your haters
Be proud of who you are
Cause the only thing that matters
Is that you know that you're a star!
