You - Poem by Flora A. Parham

WHAT AM I TO DO ABOUT YOU?
ONE MAN I FEEL SO MUCH FOR
ONE MAN THAT I ADORE BUT YOU, THE REAL YOU,
WHAT IS THERE ABOUT YOU?
YOU'RE HANDSOME FOR SURE,
YET WILL THAT ENDURE THE TEST OF TIME?
YOU SAY YOUR LOVE IS PURE.
YET DOES THAT MEAN YOU'RE MINE? I PACE THE FLOOR, THE HOUSE SOME MORE,
MY HEART I POUR, THE TEARS FOR SURE,
YET ME, YOU SEEM NOT TO SEE.
YET ME, YOU SEEM NOT ABLE TO PLEASE. WHEN I ASK FOR LESS, NOT MORE.
THAN JUST A FEELING OF BEING LOVED,
BY YOU.
