I'm not looking for a fairytale

I'm not even looking for a dream to come true

I only want what's real

So I'm looking for you

I know I'm not perfect

I'm no Barbie so I'm not looking for Ken

I only know what I want

So you can be more than a friend

I'm scared

I'm alone

I'm all of the above

& yet I want to find the unknown

It's not easy

I won't pretend that it is

Place your soul in my hand

In return you can have my heart

& experience love at its purest.

You may not understand me

At times I don't understand myself

But if you try

I'll take care of all else

I want you

& at times I need you

I envision you

But who exactly are you?
