You Always Try (Ballade) Poem by Cheyenne Killion

You Always Try (Ballade)

The snow came down in swirls
Everything was covered in sparkling white and ice blue
My heart cold and hard feels like its been painfully twirled
You knew how to play with my heart, now I've come up with something new
I won't let you win
It hurts when you lie
I will never let you in
You always try

Valentines day you swept me away
With the box of chocolates and dozen of roses
You kept me close until that day of May
You fell for her too and gave her your love doses
You broke my heart on a day that should of been ours
It might be time to say goodbye
You tried you it a secret, making me hurt for hours
you always try

You tried to play both parts
And she ended up playing you
I admit its a terrible type of art
Though I can't say I'm sorry you ended up fool too
You tell me your sorry and want us back
You wallow and sigh
Your attempts at fixing us don't seem to lack
You always try

But now its November
The pain has subsided, its time to get back up and fly
I want you to remember
You always try

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is my first ballade. And the story in this thankfully never happened to me but I like stories and thought this would be a good one.
