You And I Poem by Andjela Antic

You And I

We are growing older
And nights are getting colder
So let me put my head on your shoulder

Walking down the park
Where everything had start
Holding onto your arm
Remember how you've won me with your charm

Now I'm looking in your eyes
Youth just passing by
And I, just can't believe we're almost thru
My life is flashing before me
And all I see is us
All I see is us, all I see is us
Just you and I
You and I

Memories floating by
As I lean on a fence of the bridge
Watching our reflection in the water
The picture sure has change
Yes we've aged

Young love passing by us
Down this path
Shades of orange, leaf from tree falls
As I'm looking at them
I see it all again
Just like then
All I see is us, it's us again
You and I
You and I

As I'm looking at them
I see it all again
Just like then
All I see is us, it's us again
Like we used to before,
You and I
You and I

Oh yes, I see it all again
I see us in them
You and I
Beautiful and young again
