You And I Have Gone Through Poem by Hebert Logerie

You And I Have Gone Through

You and I have gone through a lot
You and I have gone through a great deal
We have argued and fought
And reconciled after a nice meal
Now, we are apart
Let's have a heart
Let's start with a small talk
And end with a small walk
On the sand, on the beaches
Away from all rats and leeches.

You and I have gone through too much
You and I have gone through hell
We ain't see eye to eye, we ain't touch
We could have easily gone to jail
We've been wrong, we have been right
We now realize that it is dumb to fight
Let's start with a small talk
So we can end with a long walk
At times, we have been right, we've been wrong
Alleluia! Let you and I end the trip with a nice song
Gracefully, by making lasting peace
With a very simple and gentle kiss.
