You And Me Poem by Nassim Medjahed

You And Me

Rating: 5.0

I knew that we were so far away from each other
But I've always believed that I'd live with you, someday
And I've always thought that we'd be together
But life isn't a tale, love isn't forever
Appearances are misleading, they say
But I'm sure your wonderful smile wasn't untrue
And your beauty wasn't just a mask
I'm sure your ocean eyes, your splendid skin
and your shiny golden hair didn't plunge me through the dark
That's just that somewhere we had wrong
Now, I don't what i become
I'm here, impossibly alone
and i don't know what I've done
Finally I was just blind
But now I opened my eyes
And i see well
I dreamed a lot by looking at the skies
But I'd prefer to forget you
Cause our destiny is lost in the hell
I'll forget all the past, too
Cause it's just a lesson for the future
It was your choice, I'm gonna start a new life that will be pure,
without you
Farwell, darling
