You And Me Poem by Barima Basoah

You And Me

How far is your far
when you say far?
Maybe I can walk,
to get to you in that far.

How long is your long,
when you say long?
A long ago, a long time,
as long as a fulfilled lifetime? .

How short is your short,
when you say short?
That I can heat water now,
to serve you tea awaiting.

How deep is your deep,
when you say deep?
Deeper than the ocean,
that you cannot fall out?

You are never far from me,
it's never been long too,
and never a short moment to wait,
‘cause I have kept you deep inside my heart.
