I wished to be
The first sunray on earth,
To peep through your window
And wake you up!
But you said
I have an alarm clock!

I dreamt of being a Coel
To sing in praise
Of your beauty,
But you said
I have a wide mirror!

I wanted to be
The soft rosy leaves
To enamor you
With its sweet fragrance,
But you said
I have an excess of aroma!

I longed to be
The Spring in your life,
To please you with some novelty,
But you said
You are perfect in sameness!
