How long have I been in this place?
Its dark and the waves are crashing against my body
I can’t see my shadows
Oh I can’t see the stars
It’s something stolen
It’s something borrowed
My body is drowning under those rocks
The sun never shines in this place
If I could see you
If only I see you, I will run through the darkness
I will follow the only light you shine my way
In this place there is no shelter
I walk alone with no shadows
I feel the water crashing against my body
My hands are frozen
Shine me some light
Give me some warmth
I need to see you
I need to hear you
The sun never shines in this place
I know I exist because I feel the pain
I know I am breathing because I feel the cold against my flesh
I need the light of my soul
I want to break through this place
I want to shine my days
You’re all I want
You’re all I need
Why does God give a heart when love brings agony
You will no longer be my fame
I will burn without your flame
This cold place will never be my hiding again
I feel so alone in this place you made for me
