You Are All... Poem by Marion Souma

You Are All...

In the still dark endless night
I lie awake listening to the distant tick-tock of a clock
You're not here with me my love
And the sudden urge of empty longing comes gushing through
Overwhelmed far beyond comprehension - this everlasting love
Born from this very womb - a bond bound till the end of time
Mommy sometimes forget how fully you complete every part of me
I forget to notice, too say thank you, to watch you and really see you - I even forget to rhyme!
Each day you're my daughter, I am blessed from above
My Creator gave me you, such an amazing, perfect, unique soul - teacher, protector, shoulder, advisor I must be...
How your empty spot next to me breaks my heart tonight,
How your voice in the morning hours - waking me, needing me, loving me - Mommy, it is me!
I hope to never fail you my love
Never disappoint you,
Give you all you need
Always be there knowing the right words to say,
Hold you when you cry,
A scraped knee-or heart broken alike
To love you unconditionally every second I'm allowed,
To please my Father with the job I do, and have his blessing, knowing I am worthy of you each day...
You are my light, my life,
My heart,
My soul,
My reason and existence.
You my angel love - you are the very breath I take,
Without you I would not be alive! ! ! !
