You Are Entitled Poem by Francis Duggan

You Are Entitled

You are entitled for to give your opinions of me
For that is what democracy's about
But verbal abuse from you or anyone unwelcome
For I do not like it when you rant and shout.

You do not know me and to me you are a stranger
Though unkind words of you I cannot say
You have your God and to him you are devoted
And as for me I do find that okay.

Since I do not know you I will not criticize you
Though with your words towards me you act aggressively
Lets face it we never will become good friends
Since we look at life one might say differently.

You have the right to express your opinions
But not in such an angry abusive way
In such a manner to I will not be spoken
Respect to your type I would never pay.
