You Are Mine Poem by Skylark Woodrow

You Are Mine

Rating: 5.0

I'd do anything to make you happy,
I'd do anything to make your eyes sparkle and shine like they used to.
Why did they go dull?
Was it something I did,
Or was it something I didn't do?
How could I ever make it up to you?
You mean so much to me,
I can't bear to see you so unhappy.
I'd do anything to banish the trouble that hides just behind your eyes,
And filters through your mind.

I cannot let you become encased within this darkness.
Let me bring you to the light so that your eyes may shimmer and dance again.

I will not let the darkness take over you,
I will not let it win!
You are mine to protect,
Mine to guard for all eternity,
And your joy means everything to me.
