You Are My Hero Poem by Philomène Perrault

I found my way home, back to you,
I was starting to feel a little blue
But you made my sorrow go away,
Like I knew you would on the arriving day.
I was always close to you, my dear friend,
I was worried our friendship would end.
I was scared that I would never see your face again,
Or that I wouldn’t hear you laugh my friend.
But I know that we will always have love in our hearts,
Even if we are millions of miles apart.

I'm scared to go out on my own in this world
But I know you’ll tell me to give it a whirl.
Without you my world would fall apart,
I wouldn’t even know where to start.

Everything, is what you mean to me,
And I don’t know where were gonna be,
In ten or twenty years from now,
But all I know is that you should take a bow.
For all the hard work that you’ve done,
When you get up every day with the sun.

I hope we never lose each other,
Because to me you feel like a mother.
Just remember that I love you with all my heart,
And I loved you from the very start.
